DUFF MCKAGAN's LOADED To Reunite For Benefit Concert
December 2, 2006VELVET REVOLVER/ex-GUNS N' ROSES bassist Duff McKagan's former band LOADED will reunite for a special benefit show for Jerry Allen's Cancer Fund on December 22, 2006 at Hell's Kitchen in Tacoma, Washington. Also returning to the stage with LOADED are Geoff Reading of NEW AMERICAN SHAME, TOP HEAVY CRUSH, Jeff Rouse of ALIEN CRIME SYNDICATE and SIRENS SISTER, and Mike Squires of ALIEN CRIME SYNDICATE and THE LONG WINTERS. Supporting LOADED at the benefit show are Tacoma's own TOP HEAVY CRUSH as the main support (made up of former members of NEW AMERICAN SHAME, LOADED, THE JET CITY FIX and GIFT) and Jeff Angell of POST STARDOM DEPRESSION and his new side project band opening.
Jerry Allen is a good friend of Justin McDonald (TOP HEAVY CRUSH, THE JET CITY FIX) and Geoff Reading (LOADED, NEW AMERICAN SHAME, TOP HEAVY CRUSH). When they found out Jerry had cancer and that insurance wouldn't cover all the expenses they decided to help. They wanted to raise as much money as possible so Geoff called his good friend Duff McKagan to see if he would be home for the holidays and if he would be willing to perform a benefit show for Geoff's buddy. In an effort to pack the house and raise as much money as possible the two decided to reunite their band LOADED for the show. Justin called upon his own band TOP HEAVY CRUSH and their pal Jeff Angell to also play for a friend in need.
